Do sloths sleep this much?

For the past three nights I've been in bed by nine.  I. Am. Tired.  It really sucks that all my favourite shows come on at nine. :-(

I need a PVR.

Is time standing still?

It feels as if time is standing still.  I hope all weeks don't feel like this.  I get to have another ultrasound on Monday.  Perhaps I'll hear the heart beat??  Or maybe it's too early.

I want this first trimester to be over so that I can stop worrying about every little cramp.  I also can't wait to tell everyone!!

Everything is Pearfect!

The ultrasound today showed my little baby in the PERFECT position, IN my uterus, not my tubes!!!  Wooohooooo!!!

I have a cyst on my left ovary, but the radiologist said that it was nothing to worry about and the pain would eventually go away (which it has).

My baby is 4 mm big!!!  It's measuring perfectly for 5 1/2 weeks!  It was sooooo great to see the babe so early.  I feel very lucky to have such a great doctor.  She doesn't f-around!

In celebration, I went out and bought a small teddy bear and a onesie.  It is NOT easy to find cute, gender neutral clothes.

My numbers are more than doubling!!!  Wooohooo!!!  But a new development...this morning, while have a bowel movement I felt a very sharp pain on my left side.  It was pretty bad, and made me want to stop going to the bathroom.  So when I called to get my beta number, I mentioned it to the nurse.  She said she would discuss it with the doctor and call me back later in the day.

They called around 11:30 and told me they had scheduled an emergency ultrasound at 2:15!  They were worried about the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy.

Ahhhhh, I'm a teacher!  It's not like I can just leave work at a moments notice!  I asked for the number of the clinic, to see if I could possibily reschedule for later in the day.  The nurse stressed to me that it was an emergency and I was lucky to get an appointment so quickly.  Grrrrrr.

I called the clinic anyway, hoping to reschedule.  They told me I didn't have an appointment for today, I had one for tomorrow!  That's perfect!  Not at all what my doctor wants, but perfect for me!  So I called my doctor back and left a message with the change in appointment date.  Waiting a day was NOT what my doctor wanted, but I really felt fine, except for 'something' obviously on my left side.  I didn't really think I was going to die of internal bleeding overnight.

So tomorrow I go for the ultrasound.

So my blood test result has come back with a beta of 823!  This is considered 'very strong' for 17 dpo.

Sooooo why the hell was I bleeding for several days?  I'm STILL bleeding a little.

Today I went for another blood test.  I'll find out tomorrow if my numbers are doubling, or if all this bleeding actually means something.

Confused

Despite keeping my cell phone first in my pocket, and then on my desk, I still managed to miss the call from the clinic. :-(  When it rang there was another teacher using my room, so that's how I know I missed it.  So I called them back, again.  Sooooo frustrating!!

BUT then I got home and had a message on my machine...from 8 am!  The nurse said she had, "good news!".

I feel relieved, but AF is in full swing.  How is that possible?  Is this just 'vaginal bleeding'?  Could the blood test be wrong?  Will they send me for another in a couple of days?

I will call them back tomorrow to find out.
